The Dunkirk City School District will try a new and innovative approach to professional development for the February 20th Superintendent Conference Day!!
Based upon participant evaluations from the previous conference day, the Professional Development Committee decided to develop a plan to provide professional learning around differentiation and engagement from the best experts out there - our teachers!!
A group of teacher leaders and administrators has spent the last two months designing and practicing for this day and will facilitate one Ed Camp session, allowing them to participate as learners in a second session. These Ed Camp Leaders will help organize and keep the learning moving as educators share their expertise or bring a question to the table for professional brainstorming. The Ed Camp portion of the session will be followed by Design Time, where all participants will be able to work collaboratively in planning for immediate application of their learning.
We are excited to personalize this professional learning experience and look forward to an action packed day of learning!
