The mission of the Dunkirk City School District, through mutual cooperation and shared responsibility with the entire community, is to empower all students to clearly perceive their goals while developing their skills, knowledge and values to become life-long learners and independent, productive citizens in a multi-cultural world.

  • Elementary students: do you need help understanding your math homework? Check out these common core instructional videos we made:
    • Select "School #3" from the drop-down menu at the top of this page
    • Click the "Common Core Videos" tab
    • Scroll down and select your grade and locate the video that matches your homework (check with your teacher.)


  • The Dunkirk City School District would like to welcome John Baronich as acting principal of School # 7.
    Mr. Baronich is a long-time administrator in western New York and has the right to receive a pension while

    so employed.  Please see the September 10, 2015 Board of Education meeting appointment information
    regarding his salary.


  • Please check out our construction page to see the plans for the School #6 PTECH College and Career Academy. Also, be sure to stop out and vote on October 6th for the approval of the project - just a reminder: this project is of no cost to the local tax payers


  • Under New York State law, parents and legal guardians of a student may request the Composite Effectiveness Score (CES) of teachers and principals to which their student is assigned for the current school year.
